C# on the Slug

Hmm, it seems there’s an ARM port of Mono which runs on the NSLU2 - sounds intruiging. Now all I need to do is get my borked slug back to a working state again (or buy a Nokia 800 tablet :-)

NSLU2 and OpenMoko

I see that Rod Whitby - the founder of the NSLU2-Linux project - also has an interest in OpenMoko, the Open Source mobile phone platform. As a result, it seems he has plans to create an NSLU2 MokoSlug firmware distribution tailored towards OpenMoko developers.

Slug-Related Sites

I am re-installing Debian on my slug (more of which later hopefully) and came across a few other slug-related sites on my travels…

Slug Blog

Vic (I’m not sure what his surname is) has an NSLU2 blog running on an NSLU2.

Another Slug-powered Weather Station

I see there’s another Slug-powered weather station. This one was developed by some folks at the University of Greenwich School of Engineering.

Head over and read their description of how to make a WeatherSlug

Slug-Powered Weather Station

Kes from Inverness seems to have set up his NSLU2 as a One-Wire Weather station on the roof of his house.

Welcome

Welcome to SlugPowered. Why SlugPowered? Well, this site is all about the Linksys NSLU2 Network-Attached Storage Device (NAS). To fans of this little box of tricks it is affectionately (?) known as a Slug (from NSLU2).

We hope to cover a variety of Slug-related topics so watch this space !
